Photo report on 13th Cinema Verite filmfest in Iran

The 13th edition of Iran’s International Documentary Film Festival, Cinema Vérité, has been opened at Tehran’s Charsou Cineplex.

The event opened yesterday with some of the great Iranian cineastes including Manouchehr Tayyab, Mohammad-Reza Aslani, Kamran Shirdel, and Ahmad Zabeti-Jahromi in attendance.

Here is a pictorial report on the first day of the fest.

Organized by the Documentary and Experimental Film Center, the first edition of the Cinéma Vérité was held in 2007.

Over the past decade, it has emerged as one of the important events on Iran's documentary film calendar.

The fest opened on December 9 and is running for 7 more days till December 16.
